Directions For Flower Felt Tree

And let’s be honest: Who doesn’t love a good flower felt tree? I know I do, but they can be so tricky to make. So I’m going to teach you how to make one using colored paper and a couple of other things.

What You Will Need

  • colored felt paper
  • scissors
  • glue stick
  • glitter

Step 1:  Gather Your Material

First, you’re going to need some colored paper. You can get this from the craft store or from your local dollar store. Then, you’ll need a couple of other items like glue and scissors. You might also want some crayons or markers for decoration if you’d like it to look colorful!

Step 2:  Cut Out Flower Shapes

The next step is to cut flower shapes from construction paper. Each color should have a minimum of 8 leaf shapes cut out. We recommend folding the paper in half before cutting so that each leaf is symmetrical.

You will need is a bunch of colored paper (any kind will work, but if you want it to be a Flower Felt Tree, then I’d recommend getting some green).

Once you’ve got that, take out your scissors and cut off all the corners on each piece of paper. Now fold these pieces up into little flowers. Then glue them together so that they’re attached at their centers—this will create flowers for your tree!

Step 3:  Assemble Your Flowers

Tape or glue two or three leaves together to create branches. Create as many branches as you like, but make sure there are at least 10! You can use different colored leaves on each branch to add some contrast and depth to your tree.

Step 4:  Make The Trees

Create a trunk for your tree using construction paper or glue sticks. Cut out a rectangle shape that will serve as the trunk of your tree. Make sure that it is sticky on one side so you can affix it to your wall or window easily.

Step 5:   Attach The Flowers To The Trees

Take your flowers and wrap them around the tree. You can place them so they look like petals on a flower. Then take your flowers and wrap them around the other end so they look like green branches on a tree.

Step 6:  Add Decorations To Complete the Floral Picture

Now take your felt tree and add some decorations! Now that we have all our pieces ready, we just need to put them together! This could include leaves, pine cones or anything else that would look nice next to those colorful flowers. That’s it—you have now successfully made yourself a beautiful flower felt tree!

And there you go!
