We’ll be using cheap materials to make a fancy-looking bracelet. It’s so easy, she will be able to make one for every single outfit in her closet.

Why DVDs? You can use them as a decorative material because of the brilliant effect of the shiny backside.

Fun DVD Bracelet To Make At Home

So where do you start? Get some broken DVDs and a few other materials that are lying around your house! Don’t worry—her friends will never know that she wearing a bracelet made out of old movies.

I won’t tell if you don’t.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to transform old discs into something beautiful. And if you don’t have any old movies lying around at home, then don’t worry. You can use old music CDs also. Read on to find out how!

What You Will Need

  • a piece of black craft felt
  • black Velcro
  • pieces of broken DVD
  • a pair of scissors
  • hot glue

Directions for DVD Bracelet

Step 1:   Prepare all the materials needed.

Step 2:   Cut a strip of black craft felt that is at least 3 centimeters in width.

Step 3:   Measure the black strip on your wrist. This length would be based on your own liking. Cut the excess strip.

Step 4:   Cut the broken DVD in several random shapes.

Step 5:   Hot glue the broken DVD pieces on the black strip. Make sure to have some spaces in between to give a better effect.

Step 6:   Continue gluing the broken DVD pieces until you cover the entire black strip. There should a blank space on one end of the black strip for the allotment of the Velcro adhesive later on.

Step 7:  Cut a small piece of Velcro adhesive based on the space provided on the black strip.

Step 8:  Hot glue the Velcro on the ends of the bracelet.

Step 9:  Try the bracelet on and make the necessary adjustments if needed.

Step 10:   Finally done! Your daughter now has an elegant bracelet from a broken DVD!
