This craft is small in size but big on charm.
Gather the following material:
I have include a list of available products for your convenience:
pink, white and red sponge paper
copper wire
a small piece of black Velcro
crochet thread
round long nose pliers
diagonal cutting pliers
a pair of scissors
hot glue
Start by cutting a small rectangle out of pink sponge paper. Make sure the size is just right—it should measure about 4 centimeters long and 2 centimeters wide. This rectangle will serve as the base for your miniature book. Take your time with the cutting to ensure straight edges, as precision will make assembly neat and simple later on.!
I have include a list of available products for your convenience:
Using white sponge paper, cut a strip that’s at least 2 centimeters wide. Then, divide this strip into three equal pieces. Each piece should measure between 3.5 to 4 centimeters long. These small pieces will later be folded to form the inner pages of the miniature book. Make sure the cuts are clean for easy folding.
Step 1: Take the three white rectangles and fold each one carefully in half to create the look of tiny book pages. Try to make each fold crisp and even to give the pages a polished look. These folded pieces will soon come together to form the white pages inside your miniature book.
Cut a thin strip of pink sponge paper. Arrange the three folded white rectangles side by side. Glue the thin pink strip onto the folded edges of the white rectangles. This step helps the pages stay in place, forming the binding of the miniature book. Ensure the pink strip is evenly applied for better durability.
Take the pink rectangle you cut earlier and fold it around the bound pages. This creates the book cover.
Use the pink strip from the previous step as a guide to align the middle section of the book. Be sure everything is snug and properly centered for the best effect.
Cut a small square from white sponge paper, measuring 1 centimeter on each side.
Next, cut out a heart shape from the red sponge paper. Glue the heart onto the center of the white square.
This cute detail will serve as the front design of your miniature book, giving it a Valentine’s flair.
Cut a thin strip of white sponge paper, about 2 to 3 centimeters long and ½ centimeter wide. Attach the white square with the heart to one end of the strip. Glue the opposite end of the strip to the back of the book’s inside cover. When folded over, the strip will close the book neatly..
Cut small pieces of black Velcro to fit the thin white strip. Glue one Velcro piece to the center front of the book’s cover.
Attach the matching Velcro piece to the end of the white strip. This creates a functional closure for the miniature book, allowing it to open and close easily.
Using round-nose pliers, create a small circular loop from the copper wire.
Attach this loop to the top of the book, placing it on the binding area. The loop will serve as the base for attaching the crochet thread for hanging.
Open and close your new case a few times to make sure it works. Put your scissors in and see if they fit nicely. If anything's a little off, you can make small changes now.
Cut a small piece of black Velcro that would fit the think white strip. Glue the Velcro in the middle of the books front face and the other piece on the end of the white, thin strip.
Create a small circle from the copper wire using the round long nose pliers.
Insert the circular wire on the topmost part of the miniature book on the base bind of the book itself.
Cut at least 5 centimeters long crochet thread and insert this on the circular wire. Create a loop at the ends of the thread.
Done and ready to be placed on the bag zipper!
