How To Make A Monster Alien Mask

Get ready to dive into a fun and simple project that will add a touch of outer space to your costume collection.

We're making an alien eye mask! This craft is perfect for anyone who loves aliens or just enjoys dressing up. With a few pieces of

felt, some buttons, and a bit of sewing, you'll create something extraterrestrial. Let's gather our aterials and blast off into crafting!

Step 1

Gather the following material:

4 pieces of craft felt (green, black, white, and gray)
· Small scissors and a pair of sharp scissors
· 2 medium black buttons
· Yellow sewing thread
· Sewing needle
· Thin black garter
· Hot glue gun

Step 2

Grab the green felt and cut out two bean-shaped pieces. These will be the main part of your eye mask, so make sure they’re big enough to cover your eyes comfortably. Remember to think about how they will fit over the bridge of your nose!

Step 3

Place the two green felt pieces on top of each other, lining them up nicely. Use a blanket stitch and your yellow thread to sew them together around the edges..

Step 4

Now, let’s work on the goggles. Cut two circles out of the gray felt. These circles should be big enough to look like the body of the goggles on the mask.

Step 5

Poke a hole in the middle of each gray circle to mimic the goggles of your alien mask. This is where you’ll be able to see through the mask, so make sure the holes are in the right spot!

Step 6

Glue the gray circles (goggles) side by side onto a piece of white craft felt. This white felt will act as the backdrop for your goggles.

Step 7

With your sharp scissors, cut away the excess white felt around the gray circles. The white felt peeking through the gray will look like the eyeballs

Step 8

Time for the pupils! Hot glue a black button onto the center of each white part showing through the gray goggles. Place them carefully to make your alien look just right..

Step 9

Glue the gray goggles (with the eyes you just made) onto the center of the green felt body of the mask. Make sure it’s perfectly centered for the best alien look..

Step 10

Cut a strip of black felt that is about 1.5 to 2 centimeters wide. This will be the strap for your goggles..

Step 11

Using hot glue, attach the black felt strip on both sides of the gray goggles. This will make it look like the goggles are strapped onto the alien's face.

Step 12

Measure your head and cut a piece of black garter that will fit snugly around it. Sew each end of the garter to the sides of the eye mask. This will hold your mask in place while you're exploring the galaxy.

Step 13

Congratulations, you've just completed your awesome alien eye mask! Go ahead and try it on.
